My latest paintings explore form and composition in an abstract image.

When painting, I start by breaking up the canvas with large blocks of colour. What then follows is a process in which I play intuition and design against each other, building up layers in different thicknesses of paint.

Each painting is a sensual experience. Feel free to get lost in it, to find your own interpretations. As the shapes push and pull against one another, points of focus will emerge, scenes may form, the paintings are designed to take on a life of their own after I've finished them.

Adam Bullock was born in Worcester in 1986, and raised there, taking GCSEs and A-Levels at RGS Worcester. In 2005, he began a BA Fine Art degree at the Aberystwyth University School of Art. He is looking forward to graduating this summer.
